for solo marimba
My imagination conjured a crow within the flock glowing with an aura of vibrant indigo. That image became the inspiration for this work.

Impromptu
solo marimba
This piece was commissioned by Chi Cheng Lin and Artesis Hogeschool Antwerpen Royal Conservatoire. I wanted the listener to feel as if the performer was improvising. It should be fluid and darkly resonant. The intervals of a minor third and a major seventh are important throughout.

looking at "r"
for two marimbas
This work was inspired by the beautiful drawing "r" by Wilfred Brunner that appears on the cover. The added digital elements evoke a layer of dissonance that I tried to recreate in the music. A slightly unsettling feeling is created that stares into your soul.
